Our

STORY

Founded back in the 1980's by brothers Joe and Roy Soto with the help of their mother's original recipes, Laredo Taqueria got it’s start at 915 Snover St. in a bustling industrial neighborhood then known as the West End. Providing a solid breakfast and lunch offering was vital to those living and working in the area, and Laredo built its foundation on just that. With the growing popularity of the business, the Soto family decided expand the Laredo brand by opening new locations Store #2 at 6904 Irvington Blvd., Store #3 at 115 Cavalcade St., and Store #4 at 311 Patton St.

Starting with fresh ingredients and cooking all of our dishes from scratch are just a few of the things that set Laredo Taqueria apart and give our food it's unique flavor. Our homemade flour tortillas are to die for, and every dish on our menu has been known to give customers memories of home cooked meals from Grandma's kitchen. Over time we have added special menu items like Shrimp Tacos and Cheese Quesadillas(both available during Lent) and Tripas(available occasionally), but we have always kept the recipes the same, just like Grandma used to make it!

As the area developed into Washington Heights, a more residential area filled with retail and restaurants, Laredo Taqueria’s popularity continued to expand outside of the neighborhood and across the city and state. Today we continue to be a family owned business, with the Soto family carrying on the tradition started back when we first opened our doors. Come in today and see why we are Houston’s favorite taqueria!
